Why Attend
India has become one of the potential aviation markets in recent years. India will almost certainly become an MRO hub in the long run. The MRO market in India is currently worth more than $2.6 billion, according to estimates. Also, it is now expected to cross US $4 billion by 2030.
The India aviation MRO market is driven by the growing need to address wear and tear of aircraft components. In addition to this, digitalization of aircraft MRO services is anticipated to positively influence the growth of India aviation MRO market in the years to come. Also, numerous accidents related to aviation are caused because of carelessness in maintenance activities; therefore the DGCA has tightened the norms for timely maintenance and repair works, which in turn is expected to bolster the market growth in the coming years.
An MRO requires significant financial investment and takes a long time to become profitable. The correct staff, frequently trained, and efficiently used with a strong focus on quality and turnaround time is essential to running a reputable MRO. In addition to certification from the local regulator, it also needs ongoing investment in tooling and certification from international OEMs like Airbus, Bell Helicopter, Boeing, Bombardier Aerospace, Dassault Aviation, Gulfstream Aerospace, Honeywell, and others in addition to certification from safety regulators like the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the European Aviation Safety Agency (EASA).
The Make-in-India programme, which got off the ground in 2014, has helped the MRO sector thrive by creating a friendly and cooperative environment.
The Indian government is determined to make India as the MRO hub in Asia given the growth of technology. So come and take part in the massive undercurrent that the MRO industry in South Asia is currently experiencing by observing, discussing, and debating on it. An opportunity not to be missed at the MRO South Asia Summit.
See you soon in New Delhi.
About Organisers
The STAT Trade Times popularly known as STAT Times published every month is dedicated to provide in-depth coverage for the Aviation industry globally. STAT Times is the only integrated transport news source which is appreciated and used by the decision makers for their commercial benefits since 1986.
Having been involved in the dissemination of information in the aviation industry for over three decades, STAT Times finds enormous opportunities in the Aviation MRO market in India which is currently estimated to be above US$ 2.6 billion. Also, it is now expected to cross US $4 billion by 2030.
The Ministry of Defence in India (MoD) is actively engaging with the private players for MRO of defence aircrafts. With over a 1,000 aircraft currently on order, the country is likely to become the third-largest buyer of commercial passenger planes in the world, only after the US and China.
The Industry says that this shall create a demand for 200–300 major maintenance checks annually. Replacing ageing aircraft in the fleets of several airlines also creates scope for MRO to meet redelivery contracts.
Thus, STAT Times is organizing the 4th AEROSPACE & DEFENCE, MRO SOUTH ASIA 2023, a regional Summit to highlight the opportunities of the MRO industry in the region to the prospective players at large.
